Duke of Edinburgh Award
The South England Conferencer Pathfinder Department offers the opportunity to complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award to Pathfinders aged 14+ or in Year 9 in Secondary School.
The Pathfinder Voyager and Guide Class aligned perfectly to make this journey a complementary one, rather than an extra effort.
We currently offer the Bronze and Silver Levels.
DATES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2025 - 2026:
Enrolment: Sept 2025 to first week of November 2025
Introduction Meeting: 9th November via Zoom
Trail Expedition: Weekend April 3 - 6. Place tbc
Qualifying Expedition: Weekend July 3-5 Place tbc
Award Ceremony: Sept 2026 at World Pathfinder Day
Costs: £58 per participant plus camping/expedition fees.

PROCESS OF ENROLMENT:
As Patfinder club check if any of your voyagers or guides want to join
Get authorisation from your Club Director
Get commitment from a couple of leaders in your club who can accompany your pathfinders to the training and to the expeditions
Email dofe@secadventist.org.uk with your interest and questions.
SEC DofE team will send you the application forms and more information as you require.
SEC DofE team offer the expeditions training in 3 sessions and prepare the participants (Expedition etiquette, First Aid, Expectations, Behaviour).
Participants look for the places and goals they would like to achieve for the Volunteering, Physical and Skills sections. They must start as soon as possible once enrolled.
SEC DofE team is committed to providing a safe environment for the participants to achieve their expeditions. Bullying or disrespectful behaviour will NOT be tolerated. The local club leaders must be ready to remove their participants from the expedition when disruptive behaviour is present.
