MASTER GUIDE PROGRAM
The Master Guide Program is at the highest level of Adventist Youth Ministries. It is one of the leadership programs that the General Conference Youth Ministries Department uses to train people for youth leadership.It is the "Ph.D." of youth ministry in the field and cannot be earned without taking at least one Basic Staff Training (BST) course. As such, Master Guide is NOT a Pathfinder program, it is a Youth Ministry Leadership Program.
PRE-REQUISITES
1) Be a baptized member, in regular standing, of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
2) Be at least 16 years of age to start the Master Guide curriculum and at least 18 years of age at investiture.
3) Complete a DBS check.
4) Complete the SDA Keeping the Church Family Safe training course.
5) With your mentor, prayerfully discuss what it means to be a Master Guide and why you want to become a Master Guide. Include a written one-page report or video in your Portfolio summarising your discussion.
6) Complete each of the following CMT Basic Staff Training workshops:

TRAINING DATES
You are required to attend all of these sessions
10th - 12th May 2024 - MIT Training Weekend No.1
14th - 16th June 2024 - MIT Training Weekend No.2
12th - 14th July 2024 - MIT Training Weekend No.3
13th - 15th September 2024 - MIT Training Weekend No.4
PLEASE NOTE THAT IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAMME YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND ONE ORIENTATION DAY AND ALL FOUR TRAINING SESSIONS.
On completion of the training weekends you MUST attend at least TWO support sessions (dates to be advised).

PAYMENT TERMS
£185- To be paid at the time of submitting your application OR
£100 - To be paid before attending the orientation day (either by 3rd March or 7th April depending on which orientation day you are attending)
£85 - To be paid before 7th April 2024
Included in this payment is the cost of the training, your folder and dividers, one M.I.T Polo Shirt & one M.I.T Hooded Sweatshirt.
Please note the following:
• You are expected to complete all of your training in 2024.
• Fees are non-refundable.
• ***On completion of the programme you will be required to purchase a Master Guide scarf & woggle, the Master Guide epaulettes, the Master Guide Chords, any honours that you have completed and any other insignia that is required to complete the uniform. Further information about these costs will be made available at the appropriate time.
