TED Camporee 2023, is finally here and we have most of the information necessary for you to start planning. 

 
How Do I (or my Club) get there? (Transport is not included in the Camp Price)
  • Fly to Vienna, AUSTRIA- Train To Vienna Central - Train to Sopron- Local Bus to Lover Camp, Sopron. (Vienna to Sopron Train – 1.5 hours)
  • Fly Budapest , HUNGARY– Train To Budapest Central- Train to Sopron (Budapest to Sopron Train – 3.5 Hours)
  • Fly to Budapest – Rent a Vehicle/Vehicles to Drive to Sopron
  • Fly to Vienna. – Rent a Vehicle – drive To Sopron (Austria will charge you about €100 to cross car over Border) 
  • Eurostar to Belgium – Train from Belgium to Vienna – Train Vienna to Sopron (14 Hours).
  • Rent a Coach from England to Sopron, Hungary.
  • Drive your car from England to Sopron, Hungary ( 16.5 hours)

Do we need a Visa?

If any of your team needs a Visa, then they need to complete the following Passport Info form and submit it to the TED Office at jplaatjes@ted.adventist.org.
After receiving the Passport Information form, the TED will issue every applicant who need a Visa an Invitation Letter that they need to use when they apply for their OWN Visa. (Please note: T.E.D. DO NOT make applications for any Visas)

What about all our Gear/ Tents, poles, etc? (Camp price includes taking all your gear)
The British Union Conference is arranging a Haulage Truck to Transport all the Camping Gear. Different Pick Up Spots will be arranged across the BUC Territory for you to bring your items to.

Will we have to cook? 
The British Union will arrange cooks to feed all the clubs in the BUC. The price for Camp includes food.

How much? (Price includes Camp/Activities/ Food/ T-Shirts/Patch)
  • Pathfinder - £200.00 (Include T-Shirt, Activities and Camporee Patch, Equipment Transport and Food)
  • Local Pathfinder Staff - £200.00 (Include T-shirt and Camporee Patch, Equipment Transport and Food.) Staff accompanying their teams for activities must assist with activities, and not participate.)
  • Parents - £150.00 (Those who have no other responsibility other than bringing their children to camp. No Activities OR T-Shirts (This does not include club leaders or club staff, even if the Club Staff member is the Parent or vice versa) BUT includes Equipment Transport and Food.
  • 5-9 Year Old Child - £120.00 (No T-Shirts OR Activities OR Camporee Patch, BUT includes Equipment Transport and Food)
  • 0-4 Year Old Child - FREE (No T-Shirts OR Activities OR Camporee Patch, BUT includes Equipment Transport and Food)
  • SEC Volunteers/ SEC Area Coordinators - £100.00 (VOLUNTEERS are appointed and confirmed by the SEC Pathfinders. Complete this part only if you have been invited and confirmed by the SEC Pathfinder Department.  

Registrations with Deposit of £100.00 (Regardless of Category) to be received by 30 April 2023.  
Full Payments to be received by 30 May 2023 (Deposits and Payments) are non-refundable (except for declined visas) after this date.
No refund for cancellation due to illness. Financial loss is to be claimed through individual’s Travel Insurance. Replacement names will be accepted until 30 May 2023

What Do I do now? 
Complete the following Application form for Registration. (Registration Deadline AND Deposits by 30 April 2022) Application Form
Email completed forms to SEC Pathfinder Department at pathfinders@secadventist.org.uk by 30 April 2023.
Submit the Passport Info Form within the next few weeks if you need to apply for a Visa. These things can take months. Don't delay this.
 
When do we pay? 
Pay a Deposit of £100 by the 30th of  April. 
Pay the remaining amount by the 30th of May 
Either point parents to the SEC Pathfinder Shop website (https://secpathfinder.shop/) to pay the fees
Clubs to collect the money, submit collective payment via your church treasurer direct to the SEC Treasury. (WHEN GOING WITH THIS OPTION ENSURE THAT YOU COLLECT A PROOF OF PAYMENT FROM YOUR CHURCH TREASURY, AND EMAIL IT TO THE SEC PATHFINDER OFFICE. PLEASE NOTE, UNLESS WE RECEIVE PROOF OF PAYMENT, THE APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED VOID AND YOU WILL NOT BE REGISTERED FOR CAMPOREE.

What about Travel Insurance
Each person needs need to arrange their own Travel Insurance to cover themselves for Flight delays, Flight Cancellations, Baggage delays, etc
Ensure your club has the annual Club Insurance for 2023, for the amount of club members in your club. This is to cover your club agains Medical emergencies, death, dismemberment, and hospital care.
Each person must apply for an EHIC (European Health Insurance Card). This is to cover you for Hospital and Doctor's fees in the EU if you need the services. (The Card is Free) Apply here: https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/healthcare-abroad/apply-for-a-free-uk-global-health-insurance-card-ghic/
